Follow the instructions below to create your very own pumpkin. Perfect for holiday table decorations or simply a fun activity for kids to enjoy!
Step 1: Gather orange paper, scissors, a ruler, a pencil and green pipe cleaners.
Step 2: Use a ruler and the pencil to mark off 15 equal-sized strips on the orange paper.
Step 3: Cut out the strips.
Step 4: Using your pencil, poke a hole large enough for the pipe cleaner to go through on the ends of each strip in the same place.
Step 5: Scrunch the bottom of the pipe cleaner into a ball and thread the rest through the holes.
Step 6: Slide the paper strips into a “C” shape on the scrunched end of the pipe cleaner.
Step 7: Fold the remaining pipe cleaner into a leaf shape.
Step 8: Wrap the end of the pipe cleaner around your pencil a few times to make a stem.
Step 9: Spread out the orange strips to create your pumpkin.
Step 10: Your pumpkin is complete! Display your finished product on a table, fireplace mantel or any other place needing some festive decoration.
